Ekta discovered yoga in 2007; the practice of breath, movement, and turning inwards spoke to her soul. It provided an opportunity to connect with her inner self and community on a deeper level, peeling back one layer at a time. Inspired along the way by many great teachers, Ekta received her 200-hour teacher training in 2019.
Ekta is a registered nurse and weaves her knowledge of the human body into her yoga practice. The philosophy of yoga blended with strength are key elements of her class. Yoga is the practice of self-exploration, and she encourages expansion, prana, and acceptance on and off the mat. Her power vinyasa style classes are fun, dynamic and accompanied by a curated playlist of house music and melodies.
Ekta loves spending time with her golden retriever Chi-Chi, dancing, going on hikes, traveling, enjoying various cuisines, and building community.
